IEBUS0008 Dublin City Tour Volvo BTL Alexander ALX400 open top AV93 (00-D40093).
AV93 was part of a batch delivered new to Conyngham Road depot of Dublin Bus in late 2000 (AV93-105). During the Harristown changes of the 31st October 2004, AV93-103 moved from Conyngham Road to Phibsboro along with route 26, 66/A/B and 67/A. AV93 was displaced from Phibsboro (Broadstone / Phibsboro) in early January 2008 returning to Conyngham Road. With the May 2020 cutback, and inherent fleet shuffle, AV93 was transferred to Clontarf where a large number of 99-D RVs were being withdrawn. AV93 lived in a variety of garages and it went back to Conyngham Road in 2012 and finished its days at Phibsboro in 2013. AV93 was converted to open-top in June 2014. AV93 carries a full green with black, line-drawn city images livery for Dublin City Tour. Such comprehensive livery and branding are 100% reproduced on to this model. The stand-out features of the branding are : "DODUBLIN" on all sides, "Hop on HOP off" on the front and both sides. "dodublin.ie" and "CERTIFICATE of EXCELLENCE tripadvisor" on both sides and rear, "30 YEAR ANNIVERSARY" with "THIRTY YEARS OLD?" wordings in both English and Irish on the first lower deck window at the nearside. Another significant feature of the branding is at the rear. The tour overview wordings are shown together with the flags of different countries whose language are able to be listened onboard by the passengers respectively on the open-top bus. The ALX400 open-top replica features excellent detailing inside and out. This is a one-piece casting whose clean lines enhance the livery application on which all logos and lettering are clearly legible. The interior plastic blister has been redesigned to ensure the secure positioning of the model on the plinth by following the shape of the Dublin City Tour open-top model. Expected late December/early January.


UKBUS6208 Stagecoach East Scotland Alexander Dennis Enviro400 19178 (MX57LCC) on route 31 to Glenrothes via Kingseat.
Here depicted when based in Dunfermline 19178 was new to Stagecoach Manchester in early 2008 with factory painted beachball livery. It was transferred to the Magicbus unit within Stagecoach Manchester and repainted with revised Magicbus livery, entering service as such in March 2016. It retired from Magicbus service in Manchester and joined Stagecoach East Scotland in July 2022 from where it had recently been withdrawn. The model features excellent detailing, inside and out, especially noteworthy being the black paintwork in the thin section in between the roof rain channel and the top of the upper deck windows in addition to the different colours on the roof showing the bus has a history working for the different operators within the Stagecoach group, and more, such as realistic-looking handpoles and handrails.


UKBUS6209 Reading Buses Alexander Dennis Enviro400 Pride Bus 1208 (RG05BUS) on route 17 to Tilehurst Water Tower with via Oxford Road & Norcot carried in the front destination. The front destination on the model represents the real bus correctly in having white LEDs, whereas the side and full-width rear destinations represent orange LEDs. 1208 was repainted with Reading Buses grey generic colour in August 2023 when the bus was withdrawn from the Green Line service. It was repainted again in May 2024, this time 1208 proudly carries a splendid and colourful "Pride in Reading" livery and was re-registered from GO11LDN to RG05BUS. Such special livery and branding are 100% reproduced onto the model which features excellent detailing, inside and out, such as realistic-looking handpoles and handrails. The Enviro400 model is a one-piece casting whose clean lines accentuate the windows and livery application on which all logos and lettering are clearly legible. Another main feature on the model is its dual individual tree protectors at the front. The front dome on the model is significant, with its curved windscreens on both upper and lower deck. The headlights at the front are made of individual components to look more realistic.


UKBUS6543 Brighton & Hove Coaster Alexander Dennis Enviro400MMC 712 (YY73TLF).
Following the significant success in launching the brand new casting of the Alexander Dennis Enviro400MMC model in the liveries of National Express West Midlands, Stagecoach in Oxfordshire, Bluestar, Stagecoach West Scotland, Southern Vectis, Stagecoach South, Ensign Bus, Xplore Dundee, Stagecoach North West, Go North East, Stagecoach North Scotland, Go South Coast, Reading Buses, Greater Manchester Bee Network, McGill’s Bluebird, East Yorkshire and Newcastle Busways, Northcord Model Company is now releasing the twenty eighth livery on the 10.9 metre long, single-door casting – ukbus 6543, is Brighton and Hove, produced in unique "Coaster" livery. Bus 712 was new to Brighton & Hove in 2024, one of the ADL Enviro400MMC bought for the Coaster service route 12 between Brighton and Eastbourne. The Coaster livery was designed in house by the Senior Graphic Designer, Ms Kim Murphy. It leverages the operator's coastal heartland and services passing through the South Downs National Park. The Coaster livery was crowned "Best Bus Livery" in August 2024. The judge highlighted how the seaside theme and bold colours reflect "the vibrant energy of Brighton and surrounding area". They also paid tribute to a design that is "sleek and contemporary, with harmonious colours and clean lines". 712 carries a full and colourful Coaster livery for route 12X, heading to Eastbourne. These special, comprehensive livery details are 100% reproduced on the model. The stand-out features on the branding are : "coaster" on all sides; the names of the stops along the route "Brighton Peace Newhaven Seaford Eastbourne" on both sides. Furthermore, a full-width destination display is carried on both sides, with the offside one mounted amidships. The model also correctly portrays the name "ERIC SLATER" that is carried on the front, below the windscreen. The model is the second ADL Enviro400MMC model with Brighton & Hove livery. The previous one is UKBUS6533 (ADL Enviro400ER) released in August 2024. That model, based on the 10.3 metre, dual-door casting, represents fleet number 301 (YX69NVL) with SmartVision camera mirrors. The Alexander Dennis Enviro400MMC is a one-piece casting whose clean lines accentuate the square, gasket-mounted windows and the livery application on which all logos and lettering are clearly legible. Another main feature on the model is its twin tree protectors at the front. The front dome on the model is significant, with curved windscreens on both upper deck and lower deck it also displays SmartVision camera mirrors. Northcord Model Company is also creating new design standards within the interior of both saloons. These features, inside the compartments, will represent the real, outstanding layout of the Enviro400MMC, such as the extensive portrayal of handrails on upper deck and lower deck, etc. It is expected late January/early February.

"Coming soon" was a new casting announced at SHOWBUS 2009 - the Alexander doubledecker. Many casting variations were expected, including dual door but it was a non-starter as EFE concentrated on re-issuing previous models with different destinations and registrations. Illustrated is former Alexander (Midland) MRF120 (SMS120P) a Daimler Fleetline undergoing restoration at the Scottish Vintage Bus Museum in August 2009, photo by Dave Reid.

A 1/24th scale model of the RF was announced at SHOWBUS 2007,
the patterns were shown at SHOWBUS 2008 but the project was also still born.

EFE announced a new modern vehicle casting at SHOWBUS 2006 and gave the details in 2007 of the new East Lancs Olympus double and singledeckers. Uncertainties at East Lancs/Optare delayed commissioning of the model since branded the Optare Olympus and has since emerged as the integral MetroCity. In the meantime TTC announced the model to be introduced into their new range at TTC SHOWBUS 2011 but that too has stalled, with their Spectra and Versa models a long time in gestation and these projects have since passed to Jotus with whom TTC were working.
