This visit to the Albert Lea Transit Authority was in August 2011. The AL Transit depot has since been rebranded as Southern Minnesota Area Rural Transit, or SMART for short and that is emblazoned on their upgraded facilty (see below).

A pair of Thomas school buses, 331 and 332, lettered for Albert Lea Area Schools in the depot yard.

Also in the yard was Interntional 318.

Probably nearing the end of its days was this Ford, likely an E450, fleet number 1, advertising the local radio station, KQPR.

These new unlettered, unregistered and unnumbered Ford E450 buses were clearly new fleet replacements. Cutaway conversion is thought to be Diamond VIP 2500.

A different relief colour on Ford E450 4, also advertising KQPR.

The rear view of the new Ford paratransit equipped buses.

A better nearside view of the other one.
