North Devon Red Bus
First Red Bus Dennis Dart Marshall
Seen in First ownership, this Red Bus Marshall bodied Dennis Dart is in Plymouth Bus Station in October 1999 with First insignia. The bus was one of the few bought by the independent North Devon/Red Bus company. The small North Devon fleet was soon subsumed into First Devon and Cornwall, but in later years First abandoned most of the operations in North Devon, leaving the area clear for competitor Stagecoach to move in and provide the local bus services.

Seen arriving at SHOWBUS 2012 is this ECW bodied Leyland Olympian A990XAF, then with Essex operator, Flagfinders. The bus was new as North Devon 1819 in 1984.

Romeround Leyland Olympian ECW A990XAF
If you look closely at the Flagfinders picture above you will see signs of the join as this Olympian was rebuilt in 1987 as a convertible open topper, so here it was seven years later at the July Alton Bus Rally with Bournemouth based Romeround. With its roof off it is presented in a mock NBC livery.
