On a visit to Broome in August 1998 this Mercedes OHL1418, TC3086, was the mainstay of the "Town Bus Service". The company is often referred to as the Pearl Town Bus Service, Broome being founded on the pearl industry. The service has since been supplemented by the state's TransBroome town service with three silver Mercedes OC500LE Volgrens. |
Here TC3086 is seen outside the Tourist Centre in Broome town. |
Alternate runs on the service used to go off tarmac and do a sweep along dirt tracks at the Cable Beach end of the route. The Toyota Coaster was the bus of choice for these off road runs. |
