Mainstay of the Red Decker fleet in March 2012 was 302 (EH3841), former South Yorkshire PTE Leyland Atlantean with Alexander body 299 (UWA299L). |
Backing up 302 was former Sydney Buses PMC bodied Leyland Atlantean, 303 (FC8993) which arrived in Tasmania via Toronto Bus Service. |
Not long after the picture was taken in March 2012, 303 was sold to Magic Bus in Byron Bay, but was written off after being hit by a truck. The fleet has since been joined by two Hobart Explorer branded Anhui Ankai doubledecker open toppers, as used on the Sydney Explorer and a former Fantastic Aussie Tours closed top MCW Metrobus D35QG, originally London Metrobus M450 (GYE450W). In 2014 the fleet was completed by 301 (DZ4499), another former Fantastic Aussie Tours bus and originally Plymouth MCW Atlantean 144. However in 2017 a BCI closed top decker joined the fleet.
