Marshall is a major engineering firm in Cambridge, based at the local airfield. The company has been involved in fitting out British Airways new jumbos, building field hospitals for use in the African desert, specialist miltary vehicles, ambulances and security vans, For many years it also built buses. In its final years as a bus builder it was best known for the Capital design on the Dennis Dart SLF chassis, which was based on the original Duple design for the Dart. The rights have since passed to Egyptian builder MCV

Marshall also built some series of buses in very small numbers: the C33 was built to 5m length on a batch of 6 Volvo B6 for Bebb's in South Wales, the seven C35 bodies with dual doors plus one on the offside were built on Dennis Dart 8.5m chassis for the Channel Tunnel, just three Euro bodies were built on Iveco chassis. Scottish operator Whitelaw took one and the other two were built as ambulances. |
