This week's picture is courtesy of Paul McSherry who last month sent us a picture of a new Translink Wright Streetdeck doubledecker in Lurgan, which had ousted Alexander ALX400 bodied Volvos. This week he has sent something even more interesting, our first image of a Wright Streetdeck singledecker. The bodystyle has been seen before on a one off Volvo B8RLE for Delaine they have recently repainted it as the bus was deemed too ugly. Unsurprisingly Delaine has turned to the Alexander Dennis Enviro200MMC for its singldecker deliveries, all three are expected to form part of the Enviromania display at SHOWBUS international 2021 on September 26th. The other customer for this bosy style was Lothian with StreetAir EV electric vehicles whose high roof line detracted from the ugly dash. The extra height of the doubledeck Streetdeck helps to detract from its angular front end, but even in its attractive blue livery this singledeck Wright Streetdeck has a brutal look to it.
