Reading Buses Alexander Dennis Enviro400MMCCITY 241 Lion
To celebrate Reading Buses success at the prestigious UK Bus Awards we have taken Gary Semark's picture of their new Alexander Dennis Enviro400MMCCITY in Lion livery 241 (RG24BUS) for SHOWBUS 2024 as this weeke's picture and online jigsaw. Some extracts from the company's website tell more about their success in being named Top Shire Operator. The company also received a bronze award in the Partnership for Excellence category for their partnership with Heathrow Airport with the Flightline 703 and 730 / 731 servives, as well as reaching the finalist stage in the Recruitment and Retention category. The Top Shire Award was awarded based on the quality of service offered to customers, the investment in existing and new services as well as their commitment to making bus travel the transport mode of choice in Reading and beyond. The award recognises the amazing work that and our employees have done to build back up since Covid, the new buses we have introduced to the town and local area, and our work to increase frequencies on routes to help match increased demand. It also recognises the work Reading Buses has done with Reading Borough Council to help improve bus priority in the town, the introduction of great value lower priced day tickets for Reading and launching tap on tap off payment. Tough competitors in this category this year came Brighton & Hove and Warrington’s Own Buses also being shortlisted for the award. Congratulations to all at Reading Buses for the hard work and commitment to their customers on their achievement.
