 Also seen on the Sea-to-Sky Highway was this yet to be numbered Hydrogen fuel cell New Flyer H40LFR. A fleet of twenty of these was being readied for the Olympics. Enviro500s from Victoria were also drafted in to cope with the Olympic crowds in the winter. In late 2014 the decision to dispose of the fuel cell buses was taken due to their high operating costs. Converting them to diesel power had been an alternative option, but 1000 to 1019 left the fleet. |
