The Cityline fleet boasted strident colours when it gained its independence from Government control. Under First it once more was associated with the Badgerline outer-Bristol operations. This Plaxton Pointer bodied Dennis Dart, 1506 (L506VHU) is representing the fleet at the West of England Rally in Weston in August 1998.

Cityline had a large fleet of Northern Counties bodied Olympians including the more stylish Palatine II models. This is Leyland Olympian 7624 (K624LAE) seen having journeyed from Bristol for the rather wet North Weald rally in June 1999.

 By 2015 Pointer Dar 1503 (L503VHU), from the same batch as 1506 above, had found its way into preservation and lost its First barbie livery for CityLine colours as seen at the Alton Bus Rally in July.
