Olympian 5624 (D824UTF) a former Beeline coach seated Olympian used on Reading - London express services now Arriva badged just after the takeover in December 2010 and passing the Arriva Rover garage in Wycombe on the 326.

Not really the way to treat such an impressive machine as a coach seated Olympian as 240/5822 (D822UTF). There were no signs of Arriva ownership on the morning of Saturday 16th December, two days after the takeover, but where could you put them? The legal lettering had been changed, of course.

A rare site at the time in the days of Wycombe Bus in West Street, Marlow was two deckers passing each other. Coming towards the camera is Alexander bodied Leyland Olympian 5832 (G232VWL) still in Wycombe Bus colours, but with Arriva fleetnames, on Bucks School Contract 902. Heading away from the camera is coach bodied Leyland Olympian 5822, its coach lines obscured by an advert for the local radio station. The bus was new in Beeline yellow for Reading - London express services. |
All Leyland Olympian 5111 (G281UMJ) was an early repaint into Arriva aquamarine having been delivered in London Country North West dark green and silver for London Transport franchised service 142. It is seen on that route at Watford Junction Station in December 2002.
