Stagecoach in Huntingdonshire Volvo B7RLE Wright

Cavalier of Long Sutton sold their operations to Stagecoach in 2008. One of the newer vehicles transferred was formerly 5340 on thier fleet, a Volvo B7RLE with Wright Eclipse body. The Stagecoach national fleet acquired some other Wright bodied vehciles in 2008 through its acquisition of the Rapson Group in Scotland, otherwise buses like this in Stagecoach colours were non existent. The local area can expect to see more buses in this style shortly as Stagecoach has ordered a batch for use on the new Cambridgeshire Guided Busway. KX57MTE in now 21217 with Stagecoach in Huntingdonshire.

Another type new to the Stagecoach fleet in 2008 was the Enviro300 bodied MAN 14.240. This example comes from the Stagecoach South fleet, 39656 (GX08HBZ).

Stagecoach East Midland Alexander Dennis Enviro200

Last year Stagecoach East Midland exhibited one of their new Alexander Dennis Enviro400 deckers in this special livery for Robin Hood Airport. For 2008 a recently delivered Enviro200, 36005 (FJ08FZX), in similar livery is seen arriving at SHOWBUS.

A contrasting line up of Enviro vehicles: Nearest the camera is local Stagecoach Cambus 19300 (AE07KZA) in generic Park & Ride livery. Next up, a brand new Alexander-Dennis Enviro400 for Stagecoach East Scotland, 19368 (SP58CXX), whose crew kindly relieved Plaxtons for an hour on the on site shuttle service. Finally Stagecoach East (United Counties), with an appropriate splash of green, 39696 (KX08HRD), another MAN 14.240 Alexander-Dennis Enviro300 body.
