For many the highlite of the day at SHOWBUS on Sunday was when the gathered hord of buses departed the site. Donington officials recommended exiting by the car entrance, rather than going back the way they came in and thus avoiding a conflict with the visitors to the bike event on the track. Glorious sunshine in just the right direction presented a colourful spectacle for the banks of photographers as the buses descended the embankment and dispersed smoothly from the site. We will certainly aim to repeat that in 2017. The Barton Quarter display can be glimpsed on the left as the trio of First Midland Red buses depart at the top of the bank. Thanks again to everyone who supported SHOWBUS at this new venue, we have learnt a lot from this first event at Doninghton and there will be positive improvements for 2017 in the light of this experience.
