Megabus Gold has just launched on services from the capital to Scotland using these amazing Van Hool Astromega coaches which convert to sleeper buses for the overnight service. The specification, which has been met, was that it should be possible for one person to undertake the conversion with one hand tied behind their back. Similar coaches are expected to be introduced on the European network linking London, Amsterdam and Paris. This Astromega, probably the first in the batch, 50301 (SF13FMC), was seen at Victoria Coach Station on Wednesday afternoon. |
