Having collaborated for several years with Chinese bus builder BYD (Build Your Dreams) Alexander Dennis has gone its own way with the British built Enviro400EV. BYD has similarly introduced its all Chinese built DD11 electric bus to the UK market. Go-Ahead London which had bought several hundred of the jointly built product as singledeckers and doubledeckers has embraced the all Chinese bus with over one hundred quickly into service. Certainly the Enviro400EV has not seen as many enter service in London yet, but there are probably more in service throughout the country. In contrast BYD has only really enjoyed success in the Capital. This is EBD4 (LF74TZD) in service in Lewisham on Wednesday on the 321 to New Cross Gate, one of the first all BYD services.
