One of Yarra Trams Bombardier Flexity Swift E-Class trams is seen on the special shuttle service linking the city to the Rod Laver Arena for the annual Australian Open tennis tournament, won last weekend by Italian Jannik Sinner. Not only has the trams stopped been bedecked in the Open's blue colours but tram 6036 has been treated to a wrap for M&M and the Open. At least one other E-class tram, E2 6061, had gained a wrap - in this case for the Stan streaming channel - but with no AO reference and was working the AO shuttle. At least two more E-Class tram wraps have appeared in recent days, 6026 for Hisense and 6091 for the Commonwealth Bank. When new it was decreed that the new E-Class would be advert free. Only two other of the 100 E-class trams had received wraps previously, 6041 for the 2024 Midsumma Festival and 6005 for the 2024 Good Friday Appeal. With the new G-Class set to enter service, their advert immunity may be at an end.
