A whole line up of MANs at Torrens Transit Mile End depot. The destination appears to be displaying the dayt, though the picture was taken five days later than the date on the desto! Whereas 1665 displays "11 March 2014", the older buses in the line up show "11 MAR" and repeat the date as month-year in the numeric part of the display as "0314". |

Transit Systems, owners of Adelaide Metro's major franchisee Torrens Transit, took over Darwin bus services under the guise of Territory Transit. Several buses were sent south, whether they were driven down the Stuart Highway, or more likely hitched a ride on the freight equivalent of the Ghan train is not known. Here are a trio of northern immigrants in Mile End depot in March 2018. Nearest the camera is Volgren CR221L bodied MAN NL202 1351 (SB39GT) which had been 102 (MO8.102), new in 1995. Behind it to the right is younger sister 1353 (SB41GT) of 1996, formerly 105 (MO8.105). Across to the left is the rear end of Scania L94UA artic 1361 (SB64KB) with CR224L Volgren bodywork, formerly 115 (MO8.115). Picture ref B9844 |
