Visiting Bathurst Buslines depot in early November 2013 between school times, one is greeted with an impressive line of vehicles. |
Bathurst is a relatively new member of the Buslines Group and whilst standardised fleetnames have been adopted, the old two tone green trim of former owners, Jones Brothers, had yet to be replaced by the blue used by the rest of the group. Here Custom bodied Mercedes O400 29 (2209MO) is seen alongside earlier Custom Merc OH1418 10 (2174MO) six years its senior, dating from 1994. Cards for an owl on 29 and a horse on 10 show that Bathurst uses the Group system to identify different school runs to the children. Picture ref A1130 |
This Custom bodied Isuzu LT1-11P was acquired after service with Baxters and Bustrans. The 1993 model, 6 (2185MO), has flitted between the former Jones operations at Lithgow and Bathurst. Picture ref A1128 |
