Doug Lever and his wife Dawn ran a very successful coaching operation from Queanbeyan which they sold to Transborder Express. Lever Coaches loved American style coaches and imported the first Eagle coach not intended for Greyhound and went on to acquire more and then built up a fleet of Dennings. Their work in the ACT involved them in organising transport for state visits of the King of Spain, Pope John Paul II, President George Bush Snr and President Bill Clinton. The couple moved to Bega in 2000 as their daughter Karen and husband Pete encouraged them to abandon retirement and purchase Bega Valley Coaches. Sadly Doug passed away at the age of 90 in April 2022, he is survived by his son and daughter and two classic Lever Coaches American machines.

A bit out of place in the fleet was this secondhand purchase, TV1150, a 2008 Volgren SC222 bodied Iveco Delta acquired at auction the previous year. The coach had previously worked for Mining Company in the NT as their 19485 (907011). It has since taken rego 1104MO.
