Bowen Transit was in common ownership with Whitsunday Transit sharing a similar livery and insignia as seen on this Coach Design bodied MAN 16.290, seen across from their depot in late July 2009. The company has since joined the Donric Group as part of Trans North. This coach, 4, with the almost appropriate BWN05 registration, is no longer in the fleet having been sold to Carbrook Coaches of Langanholme and re-registered 036RBB. |
Bowen Transit 1988 Scania K93CR Custom 12 (561CZO) was previously registered M)1236 and served with Busways and Peninsula Bus Lines in Ourimbah, NSW. |
In the Bowen yard is this school bus, 16 (441HDF), a 1985 Mercedes Benz OC1617 with Denning "Majestic" 53 seat bus seating. The vehicle has been transferred from the Whitsunday Transit fleet but coincidentally was new as 16 (MO1957) to Dubbo Coaches. |
This Mercedes Benz OH1418 with unusual TOST bus body has journeyed across the country having entered service with Van Kuyl of Kelmscott in WA in 1993 where it was their 17(AK894). Reregistered in Queensland as 044KVJ, the bus was curiously also numbered 16 in the Bowen Transit fleet alongside 441HDF. |
