This 2012 depot line up might suggest that Cranbourne Transit was a keen Volvo fan, but the Volgren bodied B10M buses - 21/26/24/22/25/27 with matching 32--AO regos then being withdrawn. Later B10BLE 31 (3231AO) and B7RLE 37 (3237AO) are down towards the end, the B7RLE having the CR221L rather than the more normal CR228L usually associated with the chassis and was the only example in the fleet. Cranbourne switched briefly back to Mercedes buses in 2001, the O405NH, after taking two OH1418 models in 1998. Merc O405NH 33, 36 and 32 (3217/3209/3214AO) are down towards the end of the line up. There is also one Scania, amongst the B10M buses, L94UB 11 (5041AO), the brand which found favour after Pulitano acquired the Phillips. What is in no doubt is the fleet was always a keen Volgren fan. |
Another 2012 depot line up features missing B10M 23 (3223AO). To its left are Scania L94UB 10 (4400AO) and Volvo B10BLE 30 (3230AO), whilst to its right are B10BLE buses 29/28 (3229/3228AO), early 2003 Scania L94UB 3 (2983AO) - one of only two with the CR221L body - and Merc O405NH 35 (3218AO) on the end. |
Only glimpsed on the end of the line up at the top of the page was a flash of red paint belonging to this unidentified McHarry's bus, believed to be a Maxim bodied Hino, presumably acquired for spares, seen alongside B10M 27 (3227AO). |
