Lismore based Kirklands was acquired by the Buslines group in mid 2008 and its operations split between Northern Rivers and Ballina Buslines. The fleet was famous for operating a number of former Sydney and UK Leyland Atlanteans and ex London AEC Merlins.

Austral Starliner bodied Isuzu LT1-11P 249 (MO1861) is seen at work in August 2004. After secondhand UK buses, Kirklands bought a number of Isuzu motors.

Bought the previous year, in 1989, Isuzu LT1-11P 221 (MO1446) has Austral Denning Majestic coachwork. It is seen on the inevitable school run with a Customs bodied Mercedes O405 in pursuit.

After a dalliance with MAN and Nissan, 314 (MO2813), was one of five Custom bodied Isuzu LT1-11P buses bought in 1993. After these deliveries the fleet standardised on Mercedes chassis.
