Trundling along Hay Street in April 2006 in the centre of Perth is one of the fleet of mock trams operating the hop-on hop-off tour of the city. The concept is akin to the many trolley tours in the cities across the United States using mock cable cars. In the US there are several firms making the diesel powered cable cars, but Perth's are unique being built to resemble the city's first trams back in 1899. As illustrated here, the diesel unite, registered TC005, tows an unpowered matching car in true tram fashion.

On the same day, three cars are seen in Kings Park, with TC004 nearest to us bringing up the rear.

Seen from the other end the trio is led by a tram which appears to carry fleet number 2.
