Sydney had thirty Mercedes O305G artics with PMC Galvastress bodies in service, fleet expansion delayed their replacement as they approach 30 years of age. This one is near the Wynyard city terminus of route L90 to Palm Beach.

...and this one is at the other end of the route, after a picturesque coastal journey some ninety minutes north to the dream location used for filming the "Home & Away" TV soap. These buses needed replacing and it was the perfect route for panoramic views from the top deck of an Alexander Dennis Enviro500, but despite the visit of a demonstration unit it was not to be.

Between the Town Hall and Queen Victoria Building in the centre of Sydney, a Mercedes artic threads its way towards the Central Station terminus of the L90 with a Westbus Mercedes/Custom and other STA buses.

Round by Wynyard Station are a pair of Mercedes both well over twenty years old, articulated 2551 (MO2551) and rigid 2306 (MO2306). Both have the standard PMC Galvatress body. |
