Sydney's surprise order for 127 Bustech VST bodied Scanias, followed by twenty on Volvo B7RLE and another 27 of the shorter VSTM on Scania at the expense of its traditional supplier, Custom Coaches, probably brought about the insolvency of the then Alexander Dennis owned company. The box like appearance of the VST body on the Scania K280UB chassis, as seen here on 2596 (2596ST) on route to Canterbury in April 2014, is a sharp contrast to the curvaceous Custom CB80.
