The TransEsperance operation is a strange one compared to most of the other state franchised operations. Though it has a fleet of cascaded silver buses, like this 2000 build Volgren CR225L bodied Mercedes O405NH, 1769 (TP1769), it does not operate any bus services. The town of Esperance is without a town bus service. Orange school coaches serve the town's schools from the surrounding countryside and the silver Mercedes roam the local housing areas before and after school. Mercedes 1769 is heading back along The Esplanade - very pleasant - in November 2018, its morning duty done.

The first TransEsperance bus sighted on the Esperance visit at the end of October 2018 was sister vehicle 1167 (TP1167), also 18 years old, near the main school on its morning run.

This quartet of Mercedes are seen at the local bus depot. The TransEsperance operation is franchised to Busy Blue Bus and before that to their predecessor, Redlion Bus and Coach. Indeed before adopting the WA standard green some of the silver Mercedes had yellow relief and red Redlion fleetnames. Busy Blue is Esperance's main coach operator and also operates a number of orange school buses for WA and has coaches available for charter. Nearest the camera is Mercedes 1504 (TP1504) of 1999.
