Car 2024 is advertising Medibank's Icehouse, the ideal place to cool off on a hot Melbourne Summer's Day. Sadly that was not the case on the occasion of the annual St Kilda Festival in February, where 2024 is helping out on the many short working 96 shuttles to St Kilda Station. The 96 was terminating here in Fitzroy Street, its next stop was closed to traffic. Indeed a large section of track was used in Fitzroy to turn cars on the St Kilda Road routes, which were also blocked from traversing the suburb. At one point on the Esplanade a bar had been set up on the tram tracks!
