Attempting to stimulate the local housing market, car 3537 took to the rails in this striking red livery in early 2012 for realestate.com.au, a leading national realtor. |

A third view of 3537 in April at the Domain Interchange. The quaint stands in traditional green and cream were demolished a few years later replaced by a characterless assembly of metal and glass, but providing an extra track for the Toorak bound trams to split on to at the right. That is where 3537 would have been heading but because of track work it was terminating at the Interchange and replacement buses were available to complete the journey. A couple of years after the new interchange was opened it was demolished to make way for Metro Tunnel construction and the branch line became redundant, being replaced by a new one, diverting the service direct on to Toorak Road at the next junction along. They know how to waste public money in Victoria!
