Tram operation can sometimes be thwarted by unthinking motorists, like this one double parked in Acland Street blocking the Toyota liveried tram in April 2007. Acland Street is particularly narrow and busy and trams are often delayed, but not normally quite as blatantly as this.

Once located the embarrassed offending motorist sped away, watched by the large numbers of Acland Street's coffee drinkers in the many cafes along the street.

These two red and white liveried trams could be carrying the same message, but 224 on the left is advertising Antler luggage, whilst the other tram is targeting the chain of Target stores. They are horns locked on St Kilda Esplanade in August 2008.
