Introduced in 2001, the Citadis C class trams, new to Yarra Trams, were the first low floor units in the city. Built by Alstrom in France they were as low as 33cm from the ground, so just as well Melbourne is a fairly flat city. The three section trams primarily work route 109 from Port Melbourne to Box Hill out of Kew depot. Car 3013 is seen at the Box Hill terminus. |

Seen in August 2012, with less than twelve months service, are a pair of the new Citadis units in the city on the 109. On the left is car 3018.

Also in the city in winter 2012 is car 3010 heading for Port Melbourne.

By Easter 2004, the Citadis low floor trams had been joined by M>Tram's Siemens Combinos and the two meet here as the Citadis crosses Swanston Street. |
