 The Melbourne City Circle tram is an established part of the city scene. The free service loops around the downtown area in clockwise and anticlockwise directions with trams roughly every ten minutes. An on board recorded commentary announces stops and gives brief details of nearby city sights and attractions. This picture shows tram 888 with the beautiful brickwork of Flinders Street Station behind. |
 Tram 842 is seen on a less attractive part of the loop in August 2002. |
 Around the same time, 866 is seen crossing the Swanston Street/St Kilda Road junction with Federation Square under construction in the background. |
 Distinctively numbered 1000 is another tram caught on film in August 2002 with a B class Yarra Tram. |
 Some eight years later, April 2010, trams 925 and 928 meet on opposite loops of the circular route. |
