The new livery with a splash of yellow did much to brighten the appearance of the Combino fleet, as seen here on car 3519 at Luna Park in St Kilda on a lovely early Autumn day in 2012. Bringing up the rear is a somber liveried Z class 128.

As part of the Movember testicular cancer awareness campaign, which originated in Australia, car 3518 sprouted this enormous moustache for 2011. Funds are raised by sponsoring individuals to grow moustaches which are then shaved - or mown - off at the end of the month.

As can be seen in these views on route 5 on St Kilda Road, 3518 sprouted moustaches at either end, hopefully raising twice as much money!

The February St Kilda Festival attracts huge crowds from all over. The main tracks for the 3A, 16 and 96 along The Esplanade are closed, and the whole area is a pedestrian zone. Extra trams from the city via St Kilda Road are turned in Fitzroy Street. A huge length of the street being fenced off to protect the wandering public from shunting trams. B Class Car 2078 has been turned and a Combino can be seen behind it, both ready to return to the city, whilst 3523, display 16a (a for altered) has just arrived. Numerous Yarra Tram officials supervise the operation, with one dressed in period costume as an MET conductor giving out free tickets for a tram ride back to the city.
