Relatively few of the five section Combino trams wore anything other than fleet livery, perhaps odd as these large machines have considerable impact. An understandable exception was this livery applied to 5013 to celebrate the centenary of trams in Melbourne in 2006. The scheme was co-sponsored by Siemens. The tram is seen entering Fitzroy Street in St Kilda in April 2007.

In an attempt to prevent violence, tram 3506 was wearing this ochre based livery encouraging people to "step back and think" before doing anything they might regret. Combino 3506 is seen on the St Kilda Esplanade in October 2011.

A close up of 3506 as it is being turned in Carlisle Street, St Kilda during the February St Kilda Festival. The 16 route was cut in two by the pedestrianisation of most of the suburb along the seafront.

You might look twice if your saw this tram looming in your rear mirror. Luckily there is no flashing light on the roof and Melbourne's trams do have the reputation of being the slowest in the world in the unlikely event of a chase! A self-promoting advert, car 2109 is reassuring passengers that plain clothed police ride the trams. Note the "Love Your Trams" message on the front.
