Overhauled car 957 is seen in January 2016 parked on the reserve track of the 96 between Southbank and St Kilda. Major reconstruction work took place over that Christmas/New Year holiday renewing track within the Southbank depot and improving the Clarendon Street Junction stop with a bland new shelter replacing the vintage one used for the Restaurant car tour for years - ironic with the tour suspended as the trams were deemed unsafe, but at least the shelter was not! With the depot out of action during the construction the 96 track by Albert Park was used for tram parking, resulting in some sights of trams in unfamiliar places like 957.

Another overhauled car, 1010, seen not long after its return to service in January 2018. Note the special 35 circle badge on the front - and back - like 957 above. Waiting across the way by Fed Square are a pair of Melbourne's City Sightseeing former London Transport Leyland Titans

The "W" class Melbourne tram has become as much a symbol of the Australian city as the cable cars are in San Francisco. The green liveried trams appear as back ups on the City Circle and other parts of the extensive tram network. This is a W6 class tram.
