Previously in a wrap for Guess, 220 became one of the two Christmas trams on Melbourne's streets in 2011. The other was class A 253. It is seen after the event in January 2012 crossing Flinders Street by the Cathedral on a wet day with its "Shine Christmas" message.

Seen a few days later 220 is swinging into Brunswick depot, its message paid for by Stonnington Council.

In November 2012 220 was once again the Stonnington Christmas tram its design changed with a "Home for Christmas" message.
|
  |
Seen again in December in Stonnington, the design is echoed on bill boards and in shop windows throughout the borough.

At what is now the Arthur Street trams stop on St Kilda Road 220 is seen at the then named Slater Street stop. The tram was still carrying the 2012 "Home for Christmas" message in December 2013. Conceivably the tram had been stored since its previous season. Behind is Z1 car 69 bound for Camberwell on the 72.
