Excel Coach Lines was founded in 1934 and operated a variety of services from its base in Kenora, including Kenora Transit, the local bus service. The depot was at 1360 Highway 17 E but the company ceased operations in September 2013, the Kenora Transit operation passing to First Student Canada and their charter business being acquired the following year by Beaver Bus Lines based in Winnipeg. These images are all from a depot visit in August 2011.
Once operated by a fleet of GMC Fishbowls the Kerona Transit services were in the hands of a handful of El Dorado National E-Z Rider II MAX midibuses. Here is 502 with the Lake of the Woods behind. The El Dorados passed to First Student Canada who purchased a fourth, 149004, in 2014, maybe already pre ordered. Unfortunately it was hit by a train in 2019.

Sister vehicle 503 is seen in the town.

El Dorado 502 was later seen parked at the depot.

Also parked at the depot was 501, a Freightliner with El Dorado National Aero Access body, also part of the Kenora Transit fleet.
