Eastbourne Buses Leyland Atlantean East Lancs 33
Eastbourne's East Lancs bodied Leyland Atlantean,33 (YJK933V) spent a time painted as an all over advert for "The Ship" - a local pub. It is being overtaken by former Ipswich 73 (LDX73G), an ECW bodied Atlantean which became 63 in Eastbourne's fleet.

All four of Ipswich's rare ECW bodied Leyland Atlanteans were sold to Eastbourne Borough Council, two of them, 75 (LDX75G) and 76 (LDX76G) were converted to open top. Here is 75 heading for Beachy Head.

Ipswich Leyland Atlantean ECW 75
Open top 75 popped up at the Scottish Vintage Bus Museum's annual gatering at their Lathalmond premises in August 2014. The livery is believed to have been applied by its owner after Eastbourne, Chepstow Classic Buses who christened it "Bluebell". It is not known if it was stil owned by them when at Lathalmond, but it did not look out of place with the Alexander (Midland) buses present.

The open topper proved popular giving local rides and is seen with another blue bus, former Southdown 607 (UWV607S), also ECW bodied, but on a Bristol VRTSL3 chassis. Strictly speaking the VR was violet, not blue, and named "Violet" and promoting the Air Tattoo, usually held in Gloucestershire in July.
