On display at SHOWBUS 80 at Thorpe Park was a Premier Travel Plaxton Supreme IV bodied AEC Reliance along with Tricentrol's former Eastern National open topper, 2385 (WNO481), the famous Wings' Tour bus and a Volvo Ailsa believed to be the Hanley Crouch Community Association bus.

This picture was taken around 1980 which is when the Premier Travel Plaxton Supreme IV bodied Leyland Leopard 283 (BVA785V) was new. Alongside is former Reading CorporationEast Lancs bodied Dennis Loline III 79 (GRD579D) in a tatty green livery with an unidentified owner.

This Plaxton Supreme bodied AEC Reliance, 274 (RVE296S) was one from a penultimate batch of six, a final six arrived after but then the Reliance model was withdrawn by British Leyland in favour of the Leopard and the soon to be released Tiger. The coach is believed to be in Cambridge

Inevitably Premier had several coaches in National Express livery like Plaxton Paramount bodied Leyland Tiger 331 (C331PEW) seen nose in alongside West Yorkshire's similar 2797 (A907LWU). The coaches are thought to be at Heathrow Airport's Coach Park. |
