Central Station is the main departure point for the Brussels hop-on hop-off City Sightseeing Tour. This ex Berlin MAN decker, registered SBC900, is awaiting departure on December 27th 2005.
On the following day the bus pauses on tour at the Royal Square. The snow and sub zero temperatures meant that the translucent roof panels stayed firmly in place.
The bus is seen on December 29th further along the tour outside the European Commission.
Another MAN awaits departure at Brussels Central Station. The half open top was not ideal for the prevailing weather conditions, especially as there was no partition between the open and covered sections. Snow can be seen falling across the picture.
Back in 2005 ompetition for the Brussels tours was hot. In the red corner is City Sightseeing, with its international backing. In the blue corner is Brussels Sightseeing which offered doubled the frequency and a series of coach excursions. Finally in the green corner is the green and yellow Golden Tours with tickets valid for 48 hours.
