The Gorey Castle provides a marvellous back drop for photos of buses terminating on the busy
1 series of routes from St Helier. This Plaxton Pointer bodied Dart is typical of many in advertisement
colours - Coca-Cola on this occasion.

This duo of advertisement buses are seen together in St Helier Bus Station extolling the virtues of
a local employment bureau. The Pointer Dart is one of many acquired in recent years, but the
MetroRider is one of a single batch of MCW manufactured vehicles. They seem largely confined to duplicate
activities.

'Locale' is the name of the Jersey based Co-op chain of stores, which this St Helier Bus Station located
Dart is advertising.

Brelade is a popular North West Coast Sandy beach within fairly easy reach of St Helier. The result
is queues that most bus companies would dream of. The problem, of course, is that the vehicles
do not have the capacity to cope with the loads and duplicates often have to be pressed into service.
The peculiar terminus at Brelade, results in this Dart listing acutely and one wonders how a low
floor SLF would cope!

Even St Helier itself present operational problems with narrow streets, as Wadham Stringer
bodied R1014 23 shows here.
