Amsterdam City Sightseeing shares the same problem as Melbourne - namely lots of overhead tram wires. The buses used can therefore not be completely open topped to prevent passengers reaching up and electrocuting themselves! This Unvi Alibi, BV-XD-26, bodied Volvo B9TL B9TL is seen on a day when an open topper might not be the best option anyway in October 2009.

On what was a very good week weather-wise in Amsterdam in July 2014, the Monday weather was another when you did not want to be in an open topper as the rain set in late afternoon. At lunchtime Volvo/Unvi 127 (BV-XD-25) is seen on the city tour. Note the buses now have prominent Bakker and GVB branding. Quite what the working arrangement is is unknown.

The superb weather is seen here on the Wednesday as Unvi BF-XF-43 heads off from the city terminal, in Bus Station F on the Amsterdam CS Station forecourt, leaving Ayats Apollo BZ-DP-55 to tout for custom.
