In April 2008 this Duple Metsec bodied Dennis Lance, 601 (AEQ144) of 1997 was seen parked in their Albany depot with an ex Reading Buses Optare Excel behind. |

Also in Albany depot in April 2005 was this TIBS Hispano Carrocera bodied DAF SB220. TIBS had 84 such buses in two batches, this one is from the first fourteen arrivals, which arrived in 1990, some of which were sold in 1997 to Ritchies and Bayes. Whilst this one has probably come to a premature end, Bayes was still operating at least two in 2017. |
At Albany depot in April 2008 is 621 (WQ4744)a 1997 Kiwi bodied NDNZ Intrepid, one of six built for Whenuapai Bus. NDNZ was an assembly operation of Nissan Diesel at Wiri to get around import tariffs. They supplied several of the Scorpion model to Yellow Bus but when Stagecoach took over no more orders were forthcoming and with changes in tariffs the Wiri plant was closed down. The Intrepid is flanked by two more buses of which no more is known, 610 (TH3193) and, on the right, SR2281. |
