Believe it or not this is a Mercedes O305, former 1464 (IG7862), new in 1977 to the Auckland Regional Authority, later Yellow Bus. The original body was scrapped, the chassis lengthened, an additional axle fitted and a new Fairfax body transforming it into a 53 seater. A new identity, 1143 (YE4656) completed the ensemble seen near the Bus Station in April 2008.
