Entering the West Portal Station in August 2002 is one of the new Italian built Breda trams which replaced the unfortunate Boeings. Boston and San Francisco both received Boeing trams as part of a scheme to keep the aircraft manufacturer in business when the airline industry was having one of its lean patches. Fortunately Boeing is far more successful at building planes than it was at building trams. |
