With the new Millennium a new fleet of trolleys was required, primarily to replace diesels. These were sourced from outside America. For the time the trolleys were unusual in being high floor, but some of San Francisco's abrupt incline changes at cross-sections are probably totally unsuitable for low floor vehicles. Disabled access is provided by the efficient doorway chair lifts common throughout North America. Trolley 5427 is seen in July 2002 near Ghiradelli Square. |
