 There are several non MTA operating in New York. Community Lines uses this GMC C5500 cutaway, 685, amongst others, on a shuttle between Journal Square, across the Hudson, to the New York Bus Terminal. The bus is seen in July 2017.

 Looking more like a conventional bus is Community Lines S45, though quite what it is remains a mystery. Let us know if you can shed any light on the matter.
