The standard fitment bicycle racks seen on all American buses are deployed and used on the Orange Line. The bike carrying solution is so simple and effective, it is a shame it is not more widely adopted. Behind the station can be seen some tents set up as part of the several community celebrations along the line on launch day. Various local community groups were exhibiting and a Metro simulator ride was in attendance at Balboa.
