The Jetblack brand differed from Reading's other colour branded routes. Firstly it was not a town service, secondly it was a franchised route. Operated by the Newbury Buses subsidiary between Newbury and Reading, when rebranded Weavaway subsidiary Newbury & District ran the service on behalf of Reading Buses with a new fleet of diesel Enviro400 buses, at the time when the main fleet was taking the hybrid model.
