MPD 3487 (W487YGS) arrives in the Aylesbury centre from Stoke Mandeville Hospital on Red Route 9, hence the red strip atop the windscreen. The 9 is largely based on Red Rover's Linkline route 9 which linked Stoke Mandeville Hospital with the town centre via Walton Court. Red Rover's 9 extended north along the Bicester Road to the retail, residential and industrial areas there. Arriva's 9 serves Southcourt rather than the Oxford Road on its way from the Hospital to town.

Having introduced Red Route 9, route 2, linking the huge private Bedgrove estate on the Wendover side of town with the Northern half of Red Rover's Linkline, was rebranded the Blue Route. This Dart MPD is seen on Blue Route 2 in 2006. |
The contrast in front end styling between the original Plaxton Pointer body and the revised Pointer 2 is clear in this picture in Stevenage Bus Station in February 2011. The Pointer 2 is an MPD, 3293 (V293HBH) which was later tranferred to Aylesbury. The older Dart SLF, 3386 (P256FPK), was new to Southend Transport as DSL56 in their white, blue and red livery. The Southend operation was taken over by Arriva and like the Colchester acquisition the control has been passed around amongst the larger Arriva companies. |
Step entrance Dart 3372 (K322DVX) seen in October 2010 in Waltham Cross was new to County Bus & Coach as DP322 in 1992. |
