Laying over in Slough in March 2011 is YN04LXG, one of the ill fated Optare Alero buses geared towards the welfare sector. Comparatiely expensive they were also not the most reliable of motors. Three of these 16 seaters were bought by Buckinghamshire County Council for new routes serving new developments in Aylesbury under the "Silver Rider" brand name. They were operated on the Council's behalf by Arriva the Shires as their 0454-0456 (YN05LXF-LXH). All three Aleros passed to Redline but were soon sold on. |
